1. General Information
1.1. This website (www.obddoors.ie) is operated by Katarzyna Lasek, based in Possexstown, Nobber, Co. Meath, A82 N6K3, Ireland.
1.2. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.3. These terms apply to both the sale of goods (e.g., walk-in baths) and the provision of installation services (e.g., bathtub door conversions).
2. Products and Services
2.1. All images are for illustrative purposes only. Small variations in finish or dimensions may occur.
2.2. Walk-in Baths: We supply premium walk-in bathtubs (Rubin, Amber models).
2.3. Installation Services: We provide orthopaedic bathtub door installations into existing baths. The final result depends on the condition and material of the customer’s existing bathtub.
3. Orders and Payments
3.1. Orders placed via the website must be paid in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed.
3.2. For installation services, prices start from €1500. A final quote is provided after a technical survey (online or in-person).
3.3. We accept major credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
3.4. All prices are displayed in Euro (€).
4. Delivery and Installation
4.1. Delivery of Goods: We deliver nationwide across Ireland. Delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
4.2. Installation: Our “1 Day Installation” service typically takes 5–8 hours. The customer is responsible for ensuring clear access to the bathroom.
4.3. Inspection: Customers must inspect goods upon delivery. Any visible damage must be reported within 48 hours.
5. Right to Cancel and Returns (Consumer Rights)
5.1. Right to Cancel (Online Orders): Under EU Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order for goods within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason.
5.2. Exclusions: The right to cancel does not apply to:
Goods that have been installed or used.
Services that have been fully performed (e.g., completed bathtub conversion).
- Custom-made or personalized items (e.g., baths modified to specific dimensions).
5.3. Return Costs: The customer is responsible for the cost of returning large items (bathtubs). Items must be in their original packaging and unused condition.
6. Warranties and Guarantees
6.1. Bathtub Doors: We provide a 5-year warranty on the door and the watertightness of the installation.
6.2. Walk-in Baths: Our walk-in baths (Rubin/Amber) come with a 3-year comprehensive warranty.
6.3. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, or unauthorized repairs.
7. Grants and Funding
7.1. Our products and services are eligible for the Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability.
7.2. OBD Doors is not responsible for the approval or payout of grants. The application process is the sole responsibility of the customer and their local authority.
8. Liability
8.1. OBD Doors shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any damage to the property during installation unless caused by gross negligence.
8.2. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the floor structure is capable of supporting the weight of the bathtub when filled.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
9.1. Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9.2. We adhere to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
10. Governing Law
10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
